Greetings from the "Mile High City!"

Students,

I must say that I know how you guys feel each day!  I have been in Denver, Colorado since Wednesday attending the National Middle School Association annual conference.  We have been meeting in the Colorado Convention Center (pictured above) which has a large sculpture of a big blue bear peeking in the windows, as you can see in the picture.

While in Denver, I have been attending four classes a day, an hour and fifteen minutes each.  I've also had the chance to hear Jim Collins, a best-selling author of the book Good to Great, which is in our library if you're interested in looking it over sometime.

Saturday, I'll get to hear Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin.  After that, I hope to visit the huge art museum here.  If I can fit that in, I'll stop by the art classes one day and let you know what all I saw.

I found some really cool technology that I hope we can implement at Trinity.  Trust me - you'll like it!

I hope you guys have a great weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all again Monday morning!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Madison Cornett and Mary Elizabeth Newman. Madison and Mary Elizabeth won 2nd and 3rd place awards, respectively, for their divisions in the Montgomery Advertiser "Design an Ad" Contest. You can read the full newspaper article by clicking here.

Congratulations also to every student who entered art in the contest, and a big WAY TO GO to Mrs. Bricken for doing such an outstanding job of teaching you guys!

On another "note," I really enjoyed listening to the Middle School Chorus today! You guys sound great!

Stay safe, and have a GREAT WEEKEND!

5th Quarter Friday Night

Students,

Make sure you attend our 5th Quarter event immediately following our Homecoming game this Friday night. The festivities begin in Willett Hall right after the game, and end promptly at 11:00 p.m.

The youth ministers from First Baptist, Frazer, and First Methodist will be putting on this event, so it should be a lot of fun!

Have a good Homecoming week!

Welcome!

Students,

Welcome to the Principal's Blog for students in grades 6-8 at Trinity! This blog has been created after some students asked me about commenting to my blog. Well, I have a blog for parents and I have one for teachers, so it only seemed fair to have one for you. I hope you'll visit and comment often.

Before I go, let me say thanks for helping us get the year off to a GREAT start! I hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!

See you Tuesday!
